Arches and the sea. Our client loved the vastness of his view, the endless horizon where the sea meets the sky, yet his house stood in the way of that beauty. The project began as a response to a simple question: how to recover the landscape that was already there. Our answer took the form of an arch, a gesture both structural and symbolic. The design opened the house to the sea, transforming walls into frames. Each room was given its own window to the grass, its own passage to light and air. A sequence of arches extends outward, gathering the landscape, tracing the line of the horizon, and allowing the sea to enter the home without boundaries.
The architecture does not impose itself; it listens. It bows gently toward the view, not in submission but in harmony, acknowledging what was always the true protagonist: the sea itself. In the end, the house became less a shelter from nature and more a conversation with it. A series of arcs, of moments, where light shifts, shadows move, and the infinite blue beyond becomes part of the everyday life within.
