This attic renovation transforms an existing rooftop dwelling into a fluid, luminous landscape where architecture dissolves into an experience of continuity. The project is conceived as a gentle choreography of light, materiality, and crafted geometries, an interior that expands toward the exterior and, in doing so, redefines the idea of urban living.

The intervention begins with the recovery of the original structural identity, revealing whitewashed Catalan vaults and beams that lend texture and rhythm to the space. Against this bright, almost weightless envelope, warm materials articulate the domestic program: American oak joinery, veined marble surfaces, and custom curved elements introduce depth, tactility, and a refined sense of permanence. At the center of the home, the kitchen and living area unfold as a single, sculpted piece. The elongated marble island becomes both a functional surface and a spatial axis, guiding movement through the room. A built-in planter carved into the furniture blurs the boundary between architecture and nature, allowing vegetation to occupy the interior as an integral material. The continuous white floor reinforces this sense of flow, visually unifying each scene into one coherent gesture.

Soft green upholstery defines the living area, a calm enclave framed by large timber windows that open fully onto the generous terrace. Here, the exterior becomes another room: a timber deck, tactile ceramics in a vertical rhythm, and careful alignments with the interior extend the domestic atmosphere outward. A circular skylight introduces a contemplative moment, light descending as a sculptural presence, subtly marking the passage of the day. In the bedroom, the exposed brick vault contrasts with the precision of the oak carpentry, creating a dialogue between the existing fabric and the new intervention. The result is a room rooted in memory yet shaped for contemporary comfort.

Across every space, the project seeks clarity and softness, avoiding excess in favor of architectural essentials: proportion, material honesty, and light. The outcome is an environment that feels both crafted and effortless, an attic transformed into a serene, continuous home that celebrates the quiet poetry of daily life.
