The project proposes a model of social housing rooted in continuity, constructive clarity, and urban permanence. Rather than seeking iconic form, the proposal is based on a coherent architectural system capable of producing identity through repetition, proportion, and material consistency. The intervention is organized as a sequence of compact residential volumes placed on a continuous plinth. This base negotiates the slope of the site, organizes access, and defines a clear relationship with the public realm. The elevated position of the housing volumes creates a protected intermediate level beneath them, accommodating circulation, shared uses, and climatic buffer spaces.
The disposition of the blocks defines small collective voids between them, generating moments of proximity, encounter, and orientation within the ensemble. These spaces function as shared thresholds rather than residual gaps, reinforcing the idea of community through spatial structure.
The housing volumes adopt a pitched-roof geometry, recalling familiar domestic archetypes while reinterpreting them through contemporary construction logic. This formal strategy reduces the perceived scale of the buildings and reinforces their integration within the surrounding urban fabric.
The façades are conceived as thick, carved envelopes. Openings are not applied but subtracted, generating depth, shadow, and rhythm. This approach enhances environmental performance by providing passive solar control while producing a strong architectural expression without relying on applied elements. Dwellings are organized within a rational structural grid that allows repetition and efficiency while ensuring good proportions, daylight, and ventilation. Interior layouts prioritize clarity and adaptability, minimizing circulation space and maximizing usable area.
Collective circulation spaces are conceived not merely as corridors but as social thresholds places that allow visual connection, informal encounter, and a gradual transition between private and collective life. The project emphasizes durability and economy through the use of a limited palette of robust materials and a simple constructive logic. Architecture, structure, and envelope are conceived as a single system, reducing complexity and reinforcing long-term performance. Passive strategies, compact volumes, façade depth, and controlled openings, form the basis of the environmental approach. The proposal defends the idea that social housing should be conceived with the same ambition as any other civic architecture. Through careful massing, material coherence, and spatial hierarchy, the project seeks to provide not only functional dwellings, but a sense of belonging, dignity, and permanence.
